Meteorites are solid fragments from space that survived their passage through the atmosphere to the surface of a planet or moon. Meteorites are space rocks that have crashed to the Earth's surface, preserving material from the birth of the solar system 4.6 billion years ago. The meteorite fragments we used come from the Gibeon meteorite, which fell in Namibia during prehistoric times. It was named after the nearest town, Gibeon. The meteorite fragments are sealed in marine-grade resin, so there's no need to worry about rust.

Tyrannosaurus rex, one of the largest known land predators that lived in the densely forested river valleys of North America, became extinct during the Cretaceous period about 65 million years ago. Fossil evidence shows that Tyrannosaurus rex was about 40 feet long and 15 to 20 feet tall. Its bite force is estimated to be the largest of any land animal, and its strong thighs and long, powerful tail help it move quickly.

We used Tyrannosaurus rex bone fragments from the Lance Creek Formation, Wyoming (Private Land Origin).
